Two soldiers and two Army porters were killed after militants attacked a vehicle from an Army convoy in the Bota Pathri village, near the tourist resort of Gulmarg, Kashmir, sources said. The area, located about seven kilometers from the Gulmarg bowl, is close to the Line of Control, where civilian movement is heavily restricted.
In addition to the fatalities, three soldiers were also injured in the attack, according to officials. Attacks on Indian installations and the Army have significantly increased in recent months, with newly emerging militant groups adding to the growing tensions in the region.
